the CHALLENGE

As part of their Associate Health & Wellbeing program, MARS Inc. challenged our Weber Shandwick team to create a brand-aligned document series that could spotlight grassroots wellbeing programs from offices around the world. A number of locations had their own successful initiative, and the goal was to turn their stories into inspiring, shareable and instructional briefing documents. The rub was, the style had to be flexible enough to express each program’s unique purpose, while still maintaining visual harmony with both the parent brand and this series. In addition, it had to be templated, to create further documents internally that could be printed in any given office.

the Result

Channeling the MARS brand through the lens of hyper-geometric, Bauhaus inspired illustrations, I created the following system. I started with mood boarding to land on a style for the conceptually driven covers. I then expanded out into the full documents, and eventually an editable template in the format of choice, Powerpoint.

The client was extremely complimentary, and I was told by the account team that this was the smoothest project they’d had with these particular stakeholders. No changes were requested.
