One of my two entries in AIGA Jacksonville's Always Summer Poster Show 2015.
For the better part of 2015 I was stuck on one album. An album I had heard of but never listened to, and never really wanted to. Then I listened to Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell. And then I listened to it every minute of the day for about 11 months. When the time came to choose a song for the Always Summer Poster Show, the only question was which Meat Loaf tune would make the best poster.
I chose track two, "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth" and took a literal approach to illustrating the song's opening spoken word soliloquy. I then had several hand screen printed. Just for the hell of it.
It is a KILLER song.
