MedMal Direct is an insurance company that specializes in medical malpractice insurance for healthcare professionals. As part of the Wingard Creative team I was involved in numerous projects for them, not the least of which was the campaign ”Cut out the Middleman,“ which illustrates MedMal's ability to circumvent insurance brokers who take a cut of any insurance they sell.
In this campaign I illustrated and laid out a series of direct mailers featuring ”Max“, the broker incarnate, in the form of a paper doll to literally be cut out. Max didn't stop there, though, he ended up in magazine ads and trade show banners as well as in MedMal's small social media presence.
