I found the band Titus Andronicus through the recommendation of a friend. I purchased their albumThe Monitor and instantly fell in love. The rock and roll found on the album draws comparisons between the American Civil War and the internal wars we fight just to get through a normal day.
“A More Perfect Union”, the opening track, includes a reading of some troubling words from Abraham Lincoln and then sets off into an unsure path. I created this animation to show, visually, the correlations and associations that the band so expertly brought to the table.
